It's being reported this morning that Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid called Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Peter Pace "incompetent" during an interview with a band of liberal bloggers earlier this week. And Sen. Reid didn't stop there. He also apparently took the opportunity to disparage Gen. David Petraeus, commander of the multinational force serving in Iraq. (snip)

Sen. Reid should give Gen. Petraeus – as well as the brave men and women serving in Iraq – the opportunity to fully implement the new strategy before casting judgment. And he should do so without resorting to calling our uniformed military leaders names. Decorated soldiers like Gen. Pace and Gen. Petraeus certainly deserve that much.
